In a few weeks, 37 countries will gather in England and Liverpool for this year's edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. As usual, around 180 million TV viewers are expected during the final on May 13.
In order for such a large arrangement to be possible to carry out in practice, enormous planning is required.
The BBC, which is responsible for this year's production, has chosen to use our app "Shine Event" which manages schedule planning, logistics, preparations and much more. The system forms the hub of most of what happens during the weeks in Liverpool.
The deal was completed last winter and since then production, preparation and training of everyone involved has been going on.

Facts:
  • The BBC has around 23,000 employees in the UK and around the world.
  • Shine Digital has eight guys and two girls employed in Halmstad.
  • Shine Event is an app-based software for events between 50 and 10,000 people in the production staff.
  • The United Kingdom has hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 8 times since 1960.
